The Quintessential Gentleman
The Quintessential Gentleman was a digital magazine concept I  conceived the summer after completing my undergraduate degree at the University at Buffalo. Its primary goal was to teach men between the ages of 15 and 30 about classic traits of manliness, to promote values that have been forgotten in the 21st century, and to entertain. It did all of those things, but more importantly, it taught me the complexity of the online advertising world and the fickle nature of readers on the Internet.

The site received thousands of readers and Facebook and Twitter followers in just a few short months. Men and women from across North America contributed articles, photos and stories to the site. A successful real-life viral campaign brought hundreds more to the site after one brief day of work. In late 2011, I sold the brand and social networking profiles for a profit.
